A ghostly evening…
Me and my fiancée (Rnlaing) did some Ghost cosplay tonight. She painted me up as Papa E and we took some badass pics. Look for them very soon for you Ghost fans.
Saw Sylosis play last night in Orlando at the Lamb of God show. They were amazing…the best sounding band of the entire show and the crowd was going apeshit. Got to meet Bailey and Rob at the merch booth and they both signed my Edge of the Earth and Monolith album covers. Very cool guys and it was great to get to meet them. Especially Bailey…that dude is fuckin the epitome of cool.

This is, without a doubt, the greatest metal song ever. It’s got everything. Pummeling drums, catchy verse riffs, shredding solos, Rob Halford sirenous vocals and the metal look. I NOMINATE THIS FOR GREATEST METAL SONG EVER WRITTEN.
The metal burp…
That part of the song when the band goes into a breakdown or something and the singer doesn’t really scream but give a short outcry that almost sounds like a metal burp. Ill be discussing this phenomenon in the metal world soon. Just getting things put together so when I do talk about it you’ll all be able to follow along with me.
For the record in still compiling my list of songs containing the various forms of the metal burp. I’m in the process of moving…when that’s finished ill be all over this shit!

You could sit around in a room, in a basement with a set of drums all day long and practice rudiments, and try to develop speed, but until you start playing with a band, you can’t learn technique, you can’t learn taste, you can’t learn how to play with a band and for a band, until you actually play.

Hair metal isn’t really music. It’s just guys dressing up in drag and lipstick and pretending to play their instruments to get chicks. When Metallica and Slayer were pioneering thrash they would go around beating up hair metal guys and taking their shirts as trophies to wear on their belts. Fuck hair metal!
